Roof financing basics: what to ask before you sign
Before you finance a roof, know the APR, the term, any dealer fee built into the price, and whether a promo rate charges deferred interest. Ask whether applying is a soft or hard credit pull, and compare the offer with a home equity line or a credit union loan.
APR and term
The APR is the yearly cost of the loan, with fees included. The term is how long you pay. A longer term lowers each payment and raises the total you pay. Ask for both numbers in writing, and the total of all payments.
Promo rates: deferred interest or true zero
"0% for 12 months" can mean two different things. With a true 0% rate, you pay no interest during the promo. With deferred interest, interest builds up the whole time, and if any balance is left when the promo ends, all of it lands on your bill at once. Ask which one it is.
Dealer fees
Some contractor financing charges the contractor a fee, and that fee can be built into the price you're quoted. Ask whether the cash price and the financed price are the same.
Soft pull or hard pull
A soft credit pull doesn't affect your score. A hard pull can. Ask which one the application uses before you apply.
Compare before you sign
A home equity line of credit or a loan from your credit union may cost less than contractor financing. Get one quote from each and compare the APR and the total of payments.
Where we stand
We don't offer financing through a lender yet. When we do, its name and terms will be on this site. Read what a roof costs in Knoxville and roof replacement.

Do you offer financing?
Not through a lender yet. When we add one, its name and terms will be listed here. Until then, read our roof financing basics guide before you sign with any lender: it covers APR, promo periods, dealer fees, and what to ask before a credit check. If the damage came from a covered storm, your insurance may cover most of the cost and you'd pay your deductible.
